Life Lately + Cheers to summer!

Lately it’s been about home, and bread, and hikes, and time with my babies. It’s been a (struggled) balance of work and rest. I mean, the idea of balance is kinda funny. As if we’re supposed to do a bit of each thing for an even amount of time or effort. Maybe that’s not how it’s supposed to be. Maybe it looks like: more of this means less of that and vice versa. Maybe that’s the secret. That there is no such thing as “balance” in all aspects of our lives at the same time. That perhaps we’re supposed to embrace where we are right now. That going in phases and seasons and highs and lows is how it’s supposed to be. To ebb and flow. To enjoy (or make the best of) each wave.

10 things I’ve been up to:

  • Planning out our summer! I’m really excited to get quality fam time in and to be by the ocean.

  • Still making bread. Old quarantine habits die hard amiright? For real though, I have not bought any bread in 8+ months. (even when making bread before I’d buy a loaf here and there and I was like “WHY?” ya know.

  • Tending to my little kitchen garden. It’s true love over here. We have not bought greens or herbs in 2021 and don’t plan to.
Note: you can use code: whitefeather for $100 off a Gardyn !

  • Arranging flowers. Because it makes me happy.

  • Shooting! Been taking a limited number of jobs lately. Mostly portraits and interiors as of late.

  • Planning out our next house project. Finishing up the bedrooms and a bit of a living room refresh.

  • Celebrating Cru’s birthday. Can’t believe my boy is four!

  • Antiquing + Thrifting. But I suppose I’ve always been doing that.

  • Creating for FUN. Whether it’s sketching, or sewing, or editing a reel.. I’m trying to create for the sake of joy and nothing else.

Wishing you a beautiful summer!
